The GraphHopper GmbH is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable user data, except what you voluntarily give to us via email or other direct contact from you. We’ll not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We do collect IP addresses in the server logs, as well as information like your internet domain, the date and time of your visit, and the pages you access on GraphHopper.com. This information is collected solely for diagnostic and analytic purposes. We do not share any identifiable information about this information at any time, unless required by law, and use this information internally and only to better assess the services provided through GraphHopper.com.

We collect personal information for some of GraphHopper services, such as name and email. Email can be used for the newsletter, where you can unsubscribe.

Payment providers can store additional information such as your address, and credit card number. This information is used solely for billing purposes and to fill your orders. It is collected, processed, and held in a secure environment that only authorized persons can access, still credit card information is not stored only processed via our payment provider. We use the subscription provider billwerk, the payment provider Heidelpay and the usual credit card companies like Visa and American Express.

Passwords are stored encrypted and we take precautions to protect your information. When you exchange information via our Services, your information is protected both, online via HTTPS, PFS and similar techniques, as well as offline due to modern and secure datacenters.

German customer data will not leave Germany and EU customer data does not leave the EU.

To ensure high privacy standards for the GraphHopper Directions API, we remove the IPs after 4 to 5 weeks from our logs.


We use cookies and log-file information to
(i) store information so you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or in subsequent visits;
(ii) maintain sessions for authenticated users; and
(iii) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed.

Cookies are not used for the GraphHopper Directions API.
