Create an API key

The API key is used to authenticate you when you request our API.

An API key was already created when you signed up. To access it log into the GraphHopper dashboard and go to the tab API Keys. On mobile the tabs are collapsed into the hamburger menu in the top right corner.

To create a new API key:

1. Click Add API Key. You will be asked to give your key a descriptive name.
2. Now you can use your new API key in a request towards the API.

With the basic package you can create 3, with the standard package or higher you can create up to 10 API keys.
