OpenStreetMap

GraphHopper uses OpenStreetMap data for routing, route optimization and geocoding. OpenStreetMap data is licensed under the ODbL. You must provide attribution by displaying a link to www.openstreetmap.org/copyright on your map or link to this page.

Elevation data

By default elevation is enabled. GraphHopper uses terrain data from the Mapterhorn project. Mapterhorn aggregates many open elevation datasets, primarily licensed under CC BY 4.0 and equivalent open government licenses. All sources permit commercial use. You must provide attribution by either linking to this page or including the following in your application or documentation:

TomTom add-on

If you purchased the TomTom add-on, you can choose between TomTom and OpenStreetMap as your data source. The response JSON includes a copyright field indicating which provider was used for each request. When using TomTom data, you must comply with the End User License Agreement.

GraphHopper

Attribution to GraphHopper is not required, but appreciated. However, applications that prominently display the following attribution in their public application are eligible for a 12-month discount on all plans:
